Stargate Studios is a high-tech production house that specialises in visual effects for the tee-vee and film industry, and they are playing at the top of the game. Check out the very impressive showreel for their "virtual backlot"... where they film sequences for a whole range of programmes you've definitely seen. Very cool stuff.

...and who doesn't like a schlocky zombie flick, especially when it's told from the zombie's POV? Apparently, the feature "Colin" (clip here) was made for US$70... British indie director Marc Price apparently got his volunteer cast by advertising on Facebook for zombie actors, then had them bring their own make-up, costumes, props, and effects... clever.

That video of the paper airplane made me think more about Sam Fuller... and a documentary on him from 1996. Naturally, some kind soul has posted it (in six parts) on YouTube. God bless the Intertubes.
