APV's documentary "Inside: Supercar" made its on-air debut on the National Geographic Channel in Asia this year.
The film presents a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Nissan's new model of the Skyline GT-R, the Japanese manufacturer's famed "supercar". Featuring interviews with Nissan CEO Carlos Goshn and lead designer Shiro Nakamura, with never-before-seen footage of the company's high-security Zama design center and top secret Sendai test track, Inside Supercar follows the entire development cycle: from concept to clay model to test drives to full-scale production.
More than two years in the making, Inside: Supercar represents a labour of love for APV Producer Mike Barrett, who devoted himself to getting not just the story of the new car, but also to understanding how the GT-R has developed a cult status among auto enthusiasts around the world. Barrett and his crew (led by DOP Jason Ellson) also enjoyed unprecedented access to the entire development process -- the first time Nissan has ever allowed outsiders to film the creation of a new model from start to finish.
